A look inside the cathedral

The Vor Frue Kirke, the cathedral of Copenhagen, is Denmark’s national cathedral. The current building dates back to 1829, but the history of this church already begins in the 13th century. Over time, the church burned down several times and was rebuilt again. The cathedral is famous for its sculptures of Christ and the Twelve Apostles, created by Danish sculptor Thorvaldsen.

Eating at the pharmacy

Stop for an authentic Danish lunch or dinner at Det Lille Apotek, or the Small Pharmacy. Dating back to 1720, this charming eatery is Copenhagen’s oldest restaurant. As the name suggests, this used to be a pharmacy and the interior exudes nostalgia. The menu offers a selection of delicious Danish specialties, such as smþrrebrþd and roasted pork with plums.
